Whether you're in it for the animals or the rides or, most importantly, the food, there's a spectacle above any on the fairgrounds – namely, how do they do it?  To get a closer look, I committed as a volunteer for two four-hour long shifts at the Solanco Fairgrounds in Quarryville for 74th annual Solanco Fair on the Saturdays before and immediately following the fair.
