Griz Earn No. 2 Seed In Playoffs, Will Host Night Game On Dec. 2

Montana officially earned the No. 2 seed in the 2023 FCS football playoff bracket, the NCAA announced Sunday morning during the annual selection show on ESPNU, extending the Grizzlies' FCS record playoff appearances to 27.

With the two seed, Montana earns a first-round bye and homefield advantage through the semifinal round.

Montana (10-1) will now prepare to take on the winner of Lafayette (9-2) versus Delaware (8-3) on Dec. 2, under the lights at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, with kickoff set for 7 p.M. MT. The Grizzlies have never faced Lafayette, and have not faced Delaware since the first round of the 1993 playoffs.

The second-round game will stream nationally on ESPN+. No linear television broadcast will be available.

The winner of Montana's second round game will advance to the quarterfinal round where it will face the winner of Furman and the winner of the Chattanooga/Austin Peay game first round game.

MISSOULA — The Big Sky Conference champion Montana Grizzlies (10-1) are the #2 overall seed in the FCS Playoffs.

Thanks to a first-round bye, the Griz play next on December 2, 2023, at 7 p.M. At Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Montana will host the winner of the opening-round game between Delaware and Lafayette.

Season ticket holders have until 4:30 p.M. On Tuesday, November 28 to purchase their same seats for the game.

Any season tickets not purchased by 4:30 p.M. On Tuesday will go on sale to the general public beginning at 8:30 a.M. On Wednesday, November 29.

If you are looking for a ticket to the biggest football game in the state of Montana this Saturday, they are selling fast and at a high price.

MISSOULA — If you are looking for a ticket to the biggest football game in the state of Montana this Saturday, they are selling fast and at a high price.

The 122nd matchup between the University of Montana Grizzlies and Montana State Bobcats takes place at Washington Grizzly Stadium on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 12 p.M.

Our MTN team checked resale ticket sites as well as UM's GrizTix to see what is available for this weekend's game.

There are no tickets available from GrizTix, the official ticket office for the University of Montana. All student, general admission, and reserved seats have been sold.

There are tickets available from trusted third-party ticket brokers including StubHub, Vivid Seats, Ticketmaster, and Seat Geek. All locations prompt that tickets are going fast.

The tickets range in price from $250 to a high of $720 per ticket. Some areas of the stadium only have single seats but there are groups of two top four tickets also available.

There are social media discussion groups that have tickets for sale.

Some season ticket holders are selling them on Facebook or X discussion groups. Many of those tickets are going near face value.

But the overall word is buyer beware! There are scam ticket brokers and there are scam ticket sellers on the group pages.

If you can't get a ticket, you can watch the game on MTN, with the pregame show at 11 a.M. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.M.
