Lollapalooza 2024: Fans Chant Jiju Jiju For Nick Jonas, Video Goes Viral
The second edition of Lollapalooza 2024 finally took off in Mumbai and the place was crowded to see their favourite stars perform live on the stage. Jonas Brothers are among a few of the popular celebrities who wowed everyone with their music. The Jonas Brothers received a warm welcome from their fans as they entered the stage.
The fans even began chanting 'jiju jiju' on the first day of the festival. Kevin Jonas too introduced Nick as jiju to the audience, in turn, which invited deafening cheers from the crowd. Nick introduced his younger brother Joe and elder brother Kevin as 'bade papa'.
Jonas Brothers were spotted at the airport and were all smiles for the paps. Soon the video of them arriving went viral within no time. The trio were looking fashionable enough to walk down the ramp.
The Jonas Brothers sang out their hit songs including Celebrate, Sucker, What a Man Gotta Do, Close and Jealous among others during their set. He even performed Maan Meri Jaan x Afterlife Lollapalooza is held at Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai and will continue till today. The music festival will also see the performances of Halsey, English Rock band Royal Blood, American rapper JPEGMAFIA, Italian EDM artist Meduza, and Fresh house DJ Malaa.

Deepika Padukone Says 'so Cool' After Watching Nick Jonas' Collaboration With King At Lollapalooza India 2024
The electrifying vibes of Lollapalooza India 2024 recently set the stage ablaze with an international musical fusion that left the audience in awe. Among the standout collaborations, one that stole the spotlight was King joining Nick Jonas for an unforgettable performance of their global hit, 'Maan Meri Jaan - After Life'. As Nick Jonas introduced King onto the stage, the crowd erupted in cheers, showering their favourite artists with admiration. Adding to the chorus of applause is none other than the stunning Deepika Padukone, who took to her social media story to share a snippet of the enthralling act.

The audience erupted in cheers as the dynamic duo performed a captivating Hindi-English remix, with the crowd passionately singing along to every verse. Nick seamlessly mouthed the Hindi verse 'Maan Meri Jaan,' adding a delightful surprise for the enthusiastic spectators. The performance left the audience craving more. Jonas Brothers closed the opening night of the festival with electrifying performances on their hit songs like 'SOS', 'Burnin' Up', 'Sucker', 'Year 3000', 'What A Man Gotta Do', 'Gotta Find You' among several of their hits. Joe and Nick also performed their solo hits like 'Close', 'Jealous' and 'Cake By The Ocean' among several other songs. Legendary musician Sting's performance at Lollapalooza India left the crowd yearning for more.
Music icon Sting captivated a diverse audience on the second and final day of Lollapalooza India on Sunday, January 28. The event, hosted at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai, was a delight for all music enthusiasts.

Around 8:25 PM, Sting graced the main stage, warmly addressing the eagerly awaiting crowd in Marathi with a cheerful "Kai Zhala Mumbai?" (What's up Mumbai?). The 72-year-old musician delivered a mesmerizing performance that lasted for about one and a half hours.

Strumming his guitar, Sting performed about 16 songs, each lasting over three minutes. He revisited his timeless classics, such as 'Every Breath You Take,' 'Desert Rose,' 'So Lonely,' 'Shape of My Heart,' and 'A Thousand Years,' taking the audience in Mumbai on a nostalgic journey as they sung each and every lyric.

While the crowd that was cheering for Sting was in thousands, many Indian celebs were a part of them too, such as Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, Kunal Kapur, and Malaika Arora, to name a few. Malaika even told PTI, "The show was superb, outstanding. He is a legend."

One fan, who attended the festival only for the former 'The Police' singer said, "He has done this for decades and he knows what the people expect and like. It was a superbly crafted show." Another fan said she was "just happy" to witness him perform all her favourite songs of his.
While Sting didn't directly interact with the audience throughout his performance, he kept them curious by playfully hinting at his next songs and encouraging them to clap and sing along. The enthusiastic response from the crowd was a clear indication that audiences were having the time of their lives.
One of Sting's most popular songs, 'Every Breath You Take,' prompted an immense applause from the audience, who sang their hearts out. After finishing the iconic track, Sting and his band members stepped forward, bowing in gratitude to thank the audience. However, audiences wanted more. Responding to the crowd's cheers for an encore, Sting asked them, "Tell me, what do you want?" He kept them happy and went on to sing another hit song of his, 'Roxanne.'
The multiple Grammy-Award winner thanked the audience for their love and support and ended with "Namaste Mumbai."
Alongside Sting, day 2 also saw performances by Parvaaz, Anoushka Shankar, The Rose, Parekh & Singh, Prabh Deep, Keane, OneRepublic, JPegMafia, Meduza and Eric Nam to name a few.
Sting's performance truly ended the music festival with high energy and good memories!
