Pokémon Go Events April 2024: Full Schedule, Dates, And Times

The World of Wonders season is going strong in Pokémon Go, with a new lineup of events bringing fresh content and Pokémon to the game throughout April. From Sizable Surprises to Mega Heracross' debut, your eyes will be bugging out as you try to keep up with the action. 

Starting on April 4 with the Sizable Surprises event, most of the month's content centers around Pokémon both big and small, along with the environment that surrounds them. That means trainers can look forward to the return of two key Pokémon Go events, Bug Out and Sustainability Week, to pair with some bonuses and Community Day celebrations. Just be ready for some surprises to jump out of the foliage alongside this full guide to all Pokémon Go's April events.

Pokemon Go Brings New Raids And Events In April 2024 Content Update

  • Celesteela, Mega Heracross, Shadow Entei and more in raids

  • We're almost a month into the World of Wonders season in Pokémon Go and it's definitely been a wonderous one. From various Paldean Pokémon to Primal versions of Groudon and Kyogre, trainers saw it all in March. Now that April is almost here, it's time to see what the upcoming month has on offer.

    April Raids Raid battles are always good to look out for because they're a great way of catching powerful new Pokémon while putting your skills to the test. Five-star raids in April will feature Kartana (Northern Hemisphere), Celesteela (Southern Hemisphere), Tapu Bulu, and Registeel. As for the Mega and Show raids, expect to find Mega Charizard X, Mega Heracross, Mega Aggron, and Shadow Entei. Each of them will be available for a week beginning April 4th. Spotlight Hours Spotlight Hours are held every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm local time. This month's spotlight Pokémon and bonuses are:
  • April 2nd – Zubat with 2x Transfer Candy
  • April 9th – Croagunk with 2x Evolution XP
  • April 16th – Caterpie, Weedle, and Wurmple with 2x Catch Stardust
  • April 23rd – Trubbish with 2x Catch XP

    Here are the full details for the Pokémon GO Community Day Classic event for April 2024, which will feature Bagon:

  • Date and time: Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.M. To 5:00 p.M. Local time
  • Featured Pokémon: Bagon returns to the spotlight in April's Community Day Classic, with Salamence's Community Day move available once again.
  • Evolve Shelgon (Bagon's Evolution) during the event or up to two hours afterward to get an Ampharos that knows the Charged Attack Outrage.
  • Outrage details:
  • Trainer Battles: 110 power
  • Gym and raids: 110 power
  • Community Day Special Research Storyline: This $1 Timed Research will be available in the shop. Here is what Niantic has to say about this questline:
  • "For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you'll be able to access the Mareep Community Day Classic–exclusive Special Research story. Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
