Posted: 08 Apr 2021 12:00 AM PDT Hello from a lovely day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was a busier day here for us, with some exciting things going on, so let's get started! More work has been done on the Cinderella Castle Stage. White slats now cover the entire surface, and the wooden panels are crossing the center line and starting to cover portions of the right side. More work was done on the repainting of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, with the majority of the roof now finished. Cool Ship also showed progress in the repainting department. These legs were painted black after being patched. The inside portion of this blue wall was also repainted. For more pictures and information, including the rest of the painting progress made last night, check out our article here. We found a new patch of fresh concrete in Tomorrowland. This one was just past the entrance to Tomorrowland Speedway. Work on the repainting of the roof on Pinocchio Village Haus is coming along well, with this roof now complete. Another patch of fresh pavement has been laid in the ongoing project to replace the stone work surrounding the drain in the middle of this Fantasyland walkway. With this patch completed, work is about half way done. We found new construction walls today underneath Main Street Station. This is the second Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom portal to be removed following the game's closure. For more pictures and information, check out our article here. Following the removal of the Trader Sam animatronic from Jungle Cruise, today we found a structure covered in camouflage netting in it's place in the attraction. For more pictures and information, check out our article here. The biggest construction news of the day was the arrival of the first turret cap decoration on Cinderella Castle for the 50th Anniversary celebrations. With all the swags in place, and the roofs freshly repainted, these caps are the next step, and we can't wait to see more. For more pictures and information, check out our article here. We found several new additions to the "Snacks With Character" allergy-friendly snack line today at Main Street Cinema and The Emporium. All of these options are Gluten, Dairy, and Nut-free, and some of them are Soy-free as well. They retail for $3.49 each. We found two new characters who had joined the character cavalcades today, and were positively radiant on their first day back in the parks. Moana and Mulan both made triumphant returns to the park since the closure for the COVID-19 pandemic last year. For more pictures and information of their return, check out our article here. We had some good merchandise finds today. Starting small, we found a new princess icons youth purse at Sir Mickey's for $24.99. Next, we found these Mousewares coasters featuring all your favorite Mouseware icons for $14.99 at The Emporium. We found the last east Limited Release Wishables featuring characters from "Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout" at The Emporium today. We love these little guys! For more pictures and information, check out our article here. Our favorite merchandise find of the day was this "Inside Out" Loungefly mini backpack. We love the zipper pull! For more pictures and information, check out our article here. We noticed that PhotoPass photographers were not waiting until the announced date of tomorrow for maskless photos to be allowed. We even heard one photographer ask their guests to remove their masks for the second photo in a set. We had a great time at the Magic Kingdom, but our day wasn't over yet! First we headed to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to get a snack. We found this delicious and adorable Honey Bee Miniature Gateau Cake, and we couldn't get enough of it! For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here. After that, we headed over to Disney's Animal Kingdom. We found a new sand sculpture celebrating "The Secrets of Whales", a new National Geographic series available to stream on Disney+. We found a new youth shirt featuring Stitch in neon paint splatters for $19.99 at Discovery Trading Co. We also found a new phone case featuring characters from "Raya and the Last Dragon" at Discovery Trading Co for $29.99. We found several new pieces of merchandise celebrating the 15 year anniversary of the opening of Expedition Everest, including this hat. For more pictures and information on all the pieces we found, check out our article here. To top off the day, we celebrated Expedition Everest's birthday with this new Yet Sundae, complete with snowflake sprinkles. We love it's look!
