Brent Faiyaz Announces 2024 Australian Tour
Brent Faiyaz has added a handful of Australian dates to his 'Fuck The World It's A Wasteland' tour. The R&B singer will head down under in January 2024, starting the run of shows in Melbourne on Tuesday, 9th January, before heading to Sydney and finally Brisbane on Sunday, 14th January.
Faiyaz will be coming to Australia armed with his latest album, 2022's Wasteland – the follow-up to his well-received debut Sonder Son which dropped in 2017. Faiyaz last toured the country in 2019, following the release of Sonder Son.
Brent Faiyaz: 'Moment of Your Life' feat. Coco JonesIn between the two full-length releases, Faiyaz dropped the EP Fuck The World, which dropped right as the world shut down because of the pandemic.
"It's like, I dropped that shit and everything stopped, so I couldn't really shoot video or do shows. We had a whole tour planned and we had to cancel it," Faiyaz told Complex in 2022. "I was really living and experiencing all of the hype of that project on my own. I was making more money than I ever fuckin' made, but it was all around the same time COVID happened and George Floyd got killed, so it was just a weird time."
The success of Fuck The World rolled into Wasteland, which landed at #2 on the Billboard charts – becoming the highest-charting independent R&B album in history.

Brent Faiyaz New Album And Tour Dates
Ready to leave the game in awe once again, multiplatinum R&B iconoclast, style icon, and entrepreneur Brent Faiyaz has surprised audiences everywhere with the release of his anxiously awaited new album and one of the most-anticipated R&B releases of the year, Larger Than Life, out now. This marks the first release under his ISO Supremacy imprint in partnership with UnitedMasters.Earlier this week, Brent personally broke the news of the album and sent fans and social media into a frenzy with the news. These 14 tracks find Brent at the apex of his talents. He expands his artistry and vision more than ever before. Larger Than Life opens with "Tim's Intro." Strings swoon alongside a funky bassline and breezy acoustic guitar. Over this natural soundscape, his vocals take flight as he makes a proclamation to continue "Living larger than life." The raw drums of "Last One Left" bolt down the groove as Brent wonders, "It's your life, but are you going to share it with mine?" Among other anthems, he links up with A$AP Rocky and N3WYRKLA on "Outside All Night." In between Brent's hook, A$AP Rocky and N3WRKLA turn up with raw heat. Meanwhile, "Upset" [feat. Tommy Richman & FELIX!] hinges on airy synths only to ignite a dancefloor-ready buildup. "On This Side" illuminates yet another side of his vibe, while Babyface Ray blesses "Belong To You" with a quotable cameo.

He ignited anticipation for the project with the single WY@.
Collectively, it has piled up over 20 million streams thus far in addition to earning widespread acclaim. UPROXX observed, "Brent Faiyaz's confessional 'WY@' single finds him entangled with a no-good lover," and HYPEBEAST hailed it as "an anthem for those stuck in relationships." CLASH proclaimed, "New single 'WY@' is a barbed piece of emotive R&B, a song about love, devotion, and the pain of parting.
Due to the success of his sold out North American and European tours, Brent just revealed a string of tour dates for Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. On January 9, he heads to Melbourne, Australia before traveling to Sydney and Brisbane. He then ventures to Auckland, New Zealand on January 17, followed-by performances in Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and China. The world tour concludes on February 1 with a show in Singapore.

Is Brent Faiyaz Releasing A New Album, 'Larger Than Life,' Tonight?
Update: In a post on Twitter/X, Brent Faiyaz confirmed the Larger Than Life project and revealed its release date to be October 27. You can view his post below:
Original Article: It's been just a little over a year since Brent Faiyaz released his sophomore album Wasteland. The project was well received and reckoned as one of the best R&B albums in 2022. Currently, Faiyaz is overseas for the European leg of his F*ck The World It's A Wasteland Tour, a string of dates in support of his most recent projects: Wasteland and 2020's F*ck The World. Now, it appears that Faiyaz might be able to treat fans to new music on his upcoming shows thanks to rumors of a new album dropping very soon.
Rumblings on social media began on Thursday (October 26) alluding to a new album from Faiyaz set to arrive on October 27. The alleged project is titled Larger Than Life and it's said to have 14 songs and features from A$AP Rocky, Missy Elliott, Babyface Ray, Lil Gray, Coco Jones, Princess Cro, A$AP Ant, TTM Dawg, N3WYRKLA, CruddyMurda, Tommy Richman, FELIX! And FLEE. Larger Than Life reportedly also includes the previously-released singles "Moment Of Your Life" and "WY@."
Faiyaz has yet to confirm or announce the album on any of his social media pages or through a press release, so news of the new album should be taken with a grain of salt for now. The album is said to be available in international markets, like this Spotify link for example, but those versions have yet to be confirmed as authentic and not illegitimate or retrieved through a hack.
If the project is confirmed, Larger Than Life will be Faiyaz's first release since he signed an "unprecedented partnership" with Steve Stoute's UnitedMasters.
Missy Elliott is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
