Wilmington Voices Hosting Free Concerts Honoring Nature This Weekend
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Voices will be hosting a series of free concerts honoring the beauty and wonder of nature this weekend.
Wilmington Voices will be performing three concerts called 'Songs of the Earth and Sea'.
Artistic director & founder of Wilmington Voices Angela Burns came on Good Morning Carolina to talk about the event. Burns said this choral celebration of nature will pay homage to the beauty and wonder of the natural world. She said 'Songs of the Earth and Sea' offers a rich tapestry of melodies and harmonies that evoke the diverse landscapes and elements that define our planet.
Burns started the Wilmington Voices in January of 2022. All of their singers have multiple music degrees or have sung in choirs at the collegiate level. Burns said they all have the ability to sing in multiple languages because of their training.
