Madonna continues to capitalize upon the recent viral success of a remix of "Frozen," this time tapping New Jersey-based rapper 070 Shake for a haunting reimagination of the hit 1998 single. Built around the original Sickick remix of the track that became a TikTok hit last year, Shake's ethereal take on "Frozen" evokes the laid-back […]

Experiencing Post-Eras Tour Blues? Shake It Off And Just Keep Cruisin'

At every meal, MSC Yacht Club Waiter John Carlo Driz, left, and Head Waiter Joseph Mathew Calicdan, ... [+] right, encouraged us to take the moment and taste it.

As one of the thousands of Americans to make the trip to Europe to see Taylor Swift this summer, I highly recommend all concertgoers do what my friends and I did and take advantage of the time abroad. Lucky enough to score tickets to see her in Edinburgh, we decided – since we were already paying for international flights – to make the most of it and add on a seven-night MSC cruise from Southampton. This way, we could spend more time together, fly home from Heathrow ("So Long, London"), which was less expensive, and also get to visit Norway, Denmark and Brussels, enjoying the comfort and convenience of MSC's Yacht Club as our home base. Honestly, we didn't care as much about the itinerary as the ship itself because, as anyone who has seen the Eras Tour will tell you, it's hard to just go back home after being part of this historic experience, especially if you've traveled thousands of miles to get there.

We had sailed on MSC World Europa last year and found it so relaxing, we once again booked the Yacht Club (MSC's luxurious ship within a ship) — this time, on MSC Virtuosa. We knew we wanted a lot of down time, where we could just hang out on our adjoining balconies and rehash every minute of the concerts over drinks and snacks. After being with 73,000 other Swifties for two nights in a row, we also needed the sanctuary of the Yacht Club, an exclusive area of the ship with its own private lounge, restaurant and pool. During our week-long cruise, we rarely ventured out of there.

When the Yacht Club director welcomed us aboard and we told him we had previously sailed on World Europa — MSC's biggest and one of its newest ships — he laughed and said, "How will we compete with that? We will have to wow you with our crew!" And they did.

The crew

Our excellent butler unlocked the door between our balconies so we could take in the scenery ... [+] together.

Virtuosa may not have World Europa's bells and whistles — we definitely missed Raj Polo Tea House and Pizza & Burger, our former daily haunts — but it does have team members like John Carlo Driz and Joseph Mathew Calicdan (photo above), who made sure we had everything we needed and way more. If we left the ship a few pounds heavier than when we arrived, it's their fault. They took such good care of us and ensured that my friends, a vegan and vegetarian, had meals that were just as delicious as mine.

A shout out also has to go to our butler, Jean Louis, who I'm sure we disappointed by not giving him more opportunities to use his considerable skills. He could have gotten us into shows, escorted us to the front of lines and brought us the best premium spirits but we were happy to take in the sea views from our adjoining balconies (he did unlock the door between them for us) and talk endlessly over Diet Cokes. He is a consummate professional and MSC is lucky to have him.

The food

Because meals were, by choice, our biggest activity, the food was important — and the Yacht Club Restaurant didn't disappoint. They always had a variety of specials as well as classic favorites that were available every day.

We once again opted for the three specialty restaurant package because we had enjoyed Kaito Sushi and the Teppanyaki experience so much last time. They were just as good this time around and we also got to try Indochine, where we had a great Vietnamese meal.

One afternoon, we ended up at the regular buffet for lunch when we got back from an excursion too late to eat in the Yacht Club Restaurant. Although the pizza was excellent, it just wasn't worth fighting the crowd there at any other time. The lines were long and no one ever answered the drink buzzer on our table, just reinforcing our loyalty to the Yacht Club.

Yacht Club suites

All Yacht Club suites are nice and roomy — a real luxury on a cruise ship. In addition to the king bed, there's a comfy couch, a desk, a coffee table and a couple of chairs. There are plenty of drawers, shelves and closet space. In fact, I even made myself right at home by creating a little library of all the books I had bought when I was in Bath for a few nights between Edinburgh and the cruise. And, because we spent so much time on the ship, I actually read a couple of them as we sailed.

You can tell Virtuosa is an older ship because there are no phone charging ports near the bed — which, come to think of it, is probably another reason I slept so well on the cruise.

Every day, the mini fridge is filled and replenished with beverages of your choice, and water bottles and snacks are always plentiful. Although I was never hungry after dinner and dessert, I still managed to polish off the beautiful little pastries and perfect piece of chocolate that appeared nightly as a part of Yacht Club turndown service.

Aurea Spa

The sauna is just one of the many features of Aurea Spa's thermal area.

MSC Cruises

I find it impossible to resist a cruise ship spa and the facilities at Aurea Spa are top notch. One of the great perks of Yacht Club is unlimited access to the extensive thermal area, which features everything from sauna and steam to hot tubs, experience showers and a snow room. A daily visit is self-care at its best.

My Balinese massage was amazing and next time I will remember to book it in the evening because it is simply too relaxing to do anything afterwards other than sleep.

All in all, our MSC cruise was the perfect way to transition into our post-Eras era. We're already trying to figure out how we can plan another one this year — and how to make it last at least for a fortnight.

Taylor Swift's 2nd London Eras Tour Show Sees Travis Kelce, Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis And More 'Shake It Off' Together

Even A-list stars need to "Shake It Off" sometimes!

During Taylor Swift's second Eras Tour show in London on Saturday, June 22, a host of celebrities were captured dancing along to the singer's popular track from her 1989 album.

A video posted on X (formerly Twitter) showed the VIP tent at Wembley Stadium packed with the likes of Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Greta Gerwig, and, of course, Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce — all of whom were showing off their best moves as the pop superstar performed "Shake It Off."

The star-studded clip began with a view of Kunis, 40, shaking her head and bopping along to the beat while wearing a checked shirt, as her husband Kutcher, 46, jumped up and down behind her, pointing at his white T-shirt and raising his arm in the air.

As the camera panned over to the left of the movie star couple, a smiling Cruise, 61, became visible, swaying from side to side as Swift sang the track's chorus. Behind the Mission Impossible actor stood Kelce, 34, with his cap on backward.

But that wasn't the end of the A-list surprises, as right at the end of the video, Barbie director Gerwig, 40, could be seen happily shaking her head along to the track as she danced.

Another video posted online from the "Shake It Off" performance showed that Jason Kelce — who attended both the June 21 and June 22 shows with wife Kylie Kelce — was also having fun in the VIP tent.

The group captured in the fun clip weren't the only famous faces seen at Swift's second London show.

An Instagram snap posted by a fan account showed Rachel Zegler in a selfie image that appeared to have been taken en route to the show. The post also featured a pic of Liam Hemsworth in the audience, which was confirmed by a post on X which showed footage of Hemsworth among the crowd, chatting with others.

Meanwhile, Hugh Grant — who later shared his thanks to Swift in a Sunday, June 23, post on X — was also spotted in the VIP tent at the show, with a fan sharing footage on TikTok of him munching on a snack.

Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan was similarly captured in yet another fan video posted on X, standing in the crowd wearing a white T-shirt.

Elsewhere, during the June 22 Eras Tour performance, Kelce and Cruise were captured in a video having a sweet moment during "Blank Space." The clip showed the Kansas City Chiefs player laughing as he placed his hands on the actor's shoulders, prompting a smiling Cruise to pat one of Kelce's hands.

Swift's Friday night show was an equally epic affair, with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte attending and even posing with Swift for a photo. The royal trio also took a selfie with the singer and Kelce — which marked the first time the pop superstar has shared a photo of her boyfriend on her social media.

Salma Hayek, Nicola Coughlan, Jonathan Van Ness, Leslie Mann, Cara Camilla Whitehill-Mathieson,Delevingne and Van Ness' husband Mark Peacock also showed up for Swift the same night.

The singer plays her final London show (for now) on Sunday, June 23, before heading to Ireland with her Eras Tour and then returning to London for more performances in August.
