After weeks of speculation over whether the festival would be going ahead this year, Electric Picnic organisers have confirmed that this year's line-up will finally be revealed later this week.
While the annual three-day music festival usually takes place during the first weekend in September, this year's event is taking place two weeks earlier – on August 16-18 - with festival director Melvin Benn confirming that the change in date has been made in an effort to accommodate the touring schedules of artists.
The festival line-up is usually announced in March each year, with the lack of updates over this year's line-up leading to rumours on social media that the festival would not be going ahead this summer.

Those rumours were quickly debunked, with organisers announcing on Monday that the 2024 line-up will finally be unveiled this Friday.
Speculation now turns to who could be headlining this year's festival. We've looked at some of the contenders in the running to determine the acts most likely to take to the main stage in Stradbally this August.
Lana Del ReyOne major act rumoured to be among this year's headliners is Grammy-nominated singer Lana Del Rey, who delivered a memorable headlining set at the festival back in 2016.
One clue that the Video Games hitmaker could be heading to Stradbally this summer is the fact that she is due to perform at the Reading and Leeds Festival.
The popular British music festival is organised by Festival Republic, the same company which runs Electric Picnic, and the two festivals tend to share at least two headliners each year.
Reading and Leeds Festival takes place the weekend after Electric Picnic and Del Rey has a noticeable gap in her touring schedule from August 16-18, so don't be surprised to see the singer top the bill when the line-up is announced on Friday.
Fred Again.. Fred Again performs at Electric Picnic Festival 2023 at Stradbally Estate on September 02, 2023 in Stradbally, IrelandBritish DJ Fred Again.. Is no stranger to Electric Picnic, having performed at the festival in 2022 and 2023.
The 30-year-old is hitting the festival circuit festival once again this summer, including a pit stop at Reading and Leeds Festival.
The Adore U hitmaker has a gap in his touring schedule for Electric Picnic and given how well received his previous sets at the Stradbally festival have been there's a strongly likelihood he'll be back this summer for his third appearance on the spin.
Liam GallagherWhile a dream Electric Picnic headliner for many Irish music fans would be a reunited Oasis taking to the main stage at Stradbally, one half of the Mancunian Britpop outfit could among the headliners at this year's event.
Liam Gallagher is set to tour Oasis's 1994 debut album, Definitely Maybe, in full for its 30th anniversary this summer, which would go down a storm with revellers at Electric Picnic.
The singer is already booked to play a show in Belfast on August 16 - the first day of this year's Electric Picnic - so a quick trip down to Kildare for the Sunday slot at the festival would certainly seem possible.
However, Gallagher is already set to play two dates at Dublin's 3Arena in June followed by a massive outdoor gig at Thomond Park in Limerick in July which may put off festival organisers from booking him as a headliner for this year's festival.
KneecapOne band we already know will be on the bill when this year's line-up is revealed on Friday is Belfast rappers Kneecap.
The controversial hip hop trio, comprised of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí, appeared on The Late Late Show in February, with host Patrick Kielty confirming that the band will be playing this year's festival.
While Kneecap are unlikely, to be among this year's headliners, the band's growing popularity should see them secure a prominent spot on the Main Stage at this summer's event.
Noah Kahan Noah Kahan (Image: Instagram/Tyler Krippaehne)One artist who has long been rumoured to be part of this year's Electric Picnic line-up is Stick Season singer Noah Kahan.
Kahan has gained a huge following on these shores in recent years, with the singer-songwriter playing a sold-out show at Dublin's 3Arena back in February.
The gig was part of the the US artist's We'll All Be Here Forever tour, which is set to run right throughout the summer.
The tour will see Kahan play a gig in Belfast on August 17, right in the middle of Electric Picnic. The singer conspicuously has no gigs lined up on the Friday or Sunday so we'd be shocked if he wasn't part of this year's line-up.
The Last Dinner PartyAnother act we think will be on this year's bill, although not one of the three festival headliners, is British indie rock band The Last Dinner Party.
The group have exploded in popularity in recent months following the release of their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy.
The band played Electric Picnic last summer when they had just two songs available to stream on Spotify.
They were booked on to the 3 Music Stage at last year's event but we expect them to graduate to the main stage for this year's festival.
KasabianA regular at Irish music festivals over the years, Kasabian could be another act set to feature high up on the bill at Electric Picnic this summer.
The band remain incredibly popular on these shores, and their high-octane anthems are the perfect fodder for festival crowds.
Kasabian are set to open for Liam Gallagher in Belfast on Friday, August 16, so it seems highly likely they'll make the drive down to Stradbally during the weekend to play Electric Picnic.
Who else could be on the bill?Aside from the headliners, it's likely that this year's Electric Picnic line-up will be packed with top Irish talent.
Dublin singer-songwriter CMAT has quickly become one of Ireland's most popular homegrown act and is known for delivering unforgettable live performances so seems a safe bet to be on this year's bill.
Limerick-based three-piece Kingfishr have also been cultivating a growing fan base over the past year, and with the band having a gap in their touring schedule for the weekend of Electric Picnic, would seem a likely fit for an early slot on the main stage.
Dublin folk band Lankum are lined up to play Latitude Festival in the UK, which is run by EP organisers Festival Republic, so expect to see the rising music stars on the bill when the Electric Picnic 2024 line-up is finally unveiled on Friday.
